Plague Doctor Hand-drawn Ladies T-Shirt
Plague Doctor Hand-drawn Ladies T-Shirt
In the 14th century, the bubonic plague emerged, prompting the employment of specialized doctors known as plague doctors. Regardless of social status, these doctors were hired by villages to provide care for the infected individuals.
One notable French physician named Charles de Lorme devised an innovative solution. He created unique costumes for the plague doctors to wear, safeguarding them against the "bad air" believed to transmit the disease. These costumes provided full-body coverage and featured masks filled with medicinal and pleasant-smelling substances to purify the surrounding air.
Our T-Shirts have a slim and curvy fit, if you would prefer a less fitted style; we recommend that you size up by one size.
